The Fallout series has become a monumental success, and the latest viewership numbers solidify its popularity. Following its premiere, which was hailed as the most-watched title globally on Prime Video, the official viewership figures have been unveiled.
According to TheWrap, Fallout has amassed over 65 million viewers since its April 10th debut on Prime Video. Remarkably, it continues to reign as the top-ranking title on Prime Video in 170 countries, with more than 60 percent of its viewership originating from beyond the borders of the United States. Additionally, Fallout has earned the distinction of being the most-watched title ever on Prime Video among the 18-34 demographic. While it falls just behind “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” as the second most-watched title within the first 16 days of an Amazon release, its success remains undeniable.
Furthermore, the series has received acclaim from both critics and fans alike. It boasts an impressive score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, accompanied by an 89% audience score. Given its substantial viewership and favourable ratings, it comes as no surprise that the show has already secured a renewal for a second season on Prime Video.
Fallout has been a MASSIVE hit for Amazon
In a joint statement, series producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy expressed their gratitude for the renewal: “Praise be to our insanely brilliant showrunners, Geneva [Robertson-Dworet] and Graham [Wagner], to our kick-ass cast, to Todd [Howard] and James [Altman] and all the legends at Bethesda, and to Jen [Salke], Vernon [Sanders] and the amazing team at Amazon for their incredible support of this show. We can’t wait to blow up the world all over again.”
Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, also chimed in, stating, “The bar was high for lovers of this iconic video game and so far we seem to have exceeded their expectations, while bringing in millions of new fans to the franchise. The cast led by Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan have knocked it out of the park. We’d like to thank Jonah and Lisa and our friends at Bethesda for bringing the show to us, as well as Geneva and Graham for coming aboard as showrunners. We are thrilled to announce Season 2 after only one week out and take viewers even farther into the surreal world of Fallout.”
Created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet and based on the video game series, Fallout boasts an executive production team including Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard, James Altman, Margot Lulick, and James W. Skotchdopole.
