Actor Danny Ramirez, known for his role as Joaquin Torres in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” is set to reprise his character as the MCU’s new Falcon in “Captain America 4.” In a 2021 interview with ET while promoting the Disney+ series, Ramirez emphasized the importance of representation in his character’s portrayal. “What was mentioned early on was just how important this character is in regards to representation,” he said. “Which to me was one of the most important things. How does it best represent who I am and people that are underrepresented?”
Expressing excitement for the character’s future, Ramirez highlighted the commitment of the creators to fully realize his storyline. “I’m excited for whatever the future may hold,” he said. “With how important they see this character and how excited they are about him, they’re like, ‘We don’t want to half step [his storyline]. We want to give it its due, and we think it’s really important.’ They know years and years and years and years ahead of anything that I could possibly imagine, and they’re very good at what they do. So, I was just like, ‘I trust y’all.’ It’s this big, beautiful trust of knowing that they have his best interest in mind.”
It seems that McDonald’s is gearing up for a promotion tied to “Captain America: Brave New World,” as a promotional poster featuring Anthony Mackie as Captain America and Danny Ramirez as the new Falcon has surfaced online. Originally slated for release this week, the film has been pushed back, indicating that marketing deals have likely been in place for some time.
Directed by Julius Onah, “Captain America: Brave New World” is set to hit theatres on February 14, 2025. Alongside Mackie and Ramirez, the film also stars Harrison Ford, Carl Lumbly, and Tim Blake Nelson.
