Since its announcement in 2021, official updates on Warner Bros. Games and Monolith Productions’ upcoming Wonder Woman game have been scarce. Known for their work on Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the developers have kept fans eagerly awaiting more information. Late last year, some concept art leaked, and now more stunning artwork has surfaced online.

The latest images showcase Diana in dynamic action poses with her iconic Lasso of Truth. They also reveal several breathtaking locations in Themyscira and depict the legendary DC Comics heroine battling a mythical creature, likely a Manticore, given its lion’s head and scorpion’s tail.

While details about the game’s plot remain limited, we do know that this single-player, open-world action-adventure will feature an original story set in the DC Universe. Players will step into the role of Diana, striving to unite her Amazon family and the human race.

Last year, a rumour suggested that the Wonder Woman game would be released under the games-as-a-service (GaaS) model. However, Warner Bros. Discovery quickly denied this speculation.

“Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open world,” the studio said in a statement. “This third-person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe while also featuring the Nemesis System. Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service game.”
