Hot Toys Kickstarts Marvel 85th Anniversary with Stunning Deadpool & Wolverine Figure Reveal
To launch their month-long Marvel 85th anniversary showcase, Hot Toys has unveiled their first official collectible sixth-scale figure from Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine. This figure spotlights Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, the character renowned for being the best at what he does, even if what he does isn’t very nice!
Although Wolverine has yet to be shown masked in any trailers, this screen-accurate collectible offers our best look yet at Jackman’s Logan suited up and battle-ready. The announcement highlights the figure’s newly developed masked head sculpt with interchangeable lower faces for different expressions, a highly poseable muscular body with seamless silicone arms, a carefully tailored costume replicating his battle outfit, and multiple interchangeable hands with attachable bladed claws for versatile posing options.
Hot Toys has confirmed the figure will be available in both a standard edition and a special deluxe edition. The deluxe edition includes additional accessories for an alternate look, such as an unmasked head sculpt, a pair of interchangeable sleeved arms, and a set of battle-damaged body armor pieces to recreate more scenes.
Pre-orders are expected to launch later today!
The upcoming feature Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, with a confirmed supporting cast that includes Karan Soni (“Dopinder”), Leslie Uggams (“Blind Al”), Morena Baccarin (“Vanessa Carlysle”), Stefan Kapičić (“Piotr Rasputin/Colossus”), Rob Delaney (“Peter W.”), Brianna Hildebrand (“Eloise Phimister/Negasonic Teenage Warhead”), Shioli Kutsuna (“Yukio”), Emma Corrin (“Cassandra Nova”), Matthew Macfadyen (“Paradox”), Jennifer Garner (“Elektra”), Peggy (“Dogpool”), Lewis Tan (“Shatterstar”), Aaron Stanford (“John Allerdyce/Pyro”), and Rob McElhenney.
There are also rumors of appearances by former X-Men and Marvel/Fox cast members, as well as several MCU veterans. To learn more about who may (or may not) appear in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster, click HERE.
The original Avengers—Chris Evans (“Steve Rogers/Captain America”), Robert Downey Jr. (“Tony Stark/Iron Man”), Chris Hemsworth (“Thor Odinson”), Mark Ruffalo (“Bruce Banner/Hulk”), Scarlett Johansson (“Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow”), and Jeremy Renner (“Clint Barton/Hawkeye”)—will appear via archival footage from their previous MCU adventures. Whether any of them will appear in new scenes remains to be seen, but given Chris Evans’ previous cameo in Free Guy and Ryan Reynolds’ reciprocal cameo in Ghosted, another surprise appearance isn’t out of the question.
