Disney’s CinemaCon panel dazzled with a plethora of monumental projects, closing the annual event with grandeur. While the Star Wars saga stayed mum, MCU aficionados were treated to an abundance of delights.
Though we’ve offered glimpses of last night’s footage, it’s now time to plunge into the depths of Las Vegas’ revelations. From pivotal plot insights to Marvel Studios’ future blueprints (plus a curious case of a missing mustache), we’ve got you covered.
Delve into the secrets of Deadpool & Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World, The Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts* below.
5. Deadpool

After Wade Wilson’s encounter with the TVA in Deadpool & Wolverine, he crosses paths with Mr. Paradox and receives confirmation that his time-travel antics in Deadpool 2 indeed landed him on their radar. However, Wade discovers that his presence in the TVA isn’t solely due to this.
The Merc with the Mouth learns of a purportedly greater purpose: to safeguard the “Sacred Timeline” while seeking retribution within it. Is Mr. Paradox aligned with TVA agents aiming to erase divergent timelines, restoring Earth-616 as the sole reality?
Regardless, Deadpool catches a glimpse of his “distant” future, witnessing a grieving Thor mourning his demise. Fueled by this revelation, the anti-hero resolves to venture into the “greatest timeline of them all,” defiantly declaring, “Suck it, Fox! I’m going to Disneyland!”
4. Thunderbolts* Mysterious Title

During CinemaCon, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige dropped a tantalizing hint regarding the upcoming Thunderbolts movie. When Florence Pugh, star of Black Widow, shared a set video, keen-eyed fans noticed an added asterisk (*) to the title.
Feige confirmed the significance of this punctuation mark, stating, “Yes, you’ll notice the asterisk on Thunderbolts. That is the official title of Thunderbolts and we won’t talk more about that until after the movie comes out.”
This enigmatic revelation, kept under wraps until after the film’s release, fuels speculation that the asterisk holds pivotal significance, potentially containing spoilers crucial to Thunderbolts and the broader MCU landscape.
3. Costumes

In the opening of Deadpool’s third installment, he’s retired from his superhero persona. However, his vibrant new costume is a creation of the TVA’s tailor, albeit in a rather unconventional scene where the eccentric old man repeatedly gropes the Merc with the Mouth.
The extended clip further showcases Deadpool and Wolverine cruising in a car, both donning their respective costumes. Logan, sans mask, receives a ribbing from Wade for his new attire.
“What’s with the suit? The X-Men make you wear it? Those sons of fcking btches,” Deadpool quips. “Friends don’t make friends leave the house looking like they fight crime for the Los Angeles Rams.”
2. President Ross

In the initial stills from Captain America: Brave New World, eagle-eyed fans noted President “Thunderbolt” Ross, portrayed by Harrison Ford following William Hurt’s passing, conspicuously lacking his trademark Mustache.
Speculation arose: Was Ford being a diva? Or perhaps he couldn’t grow a ‘stache? However, the truth may lie in Ross’s transformation into Red Hulk.
In a revealing CinemaCon clip, Ross, now mustache-less and favoring lollipops over cigars, tasks the new Captain America with reassembling The Avengers. He candidly admits to his altered appearance, explaining, “lose the mustache or lose the election.” Such a dramatic change suggests deeper narrative implications, possibly tied to Ross’s evolution into Red Hulk.
1. The Fantastic Four (Imax)

While hopes were high for an MCU slate update at CinemaCon, Marvel Studios opted to focus on more immediate offerings for attendees. Comic-Con remains a beacon of possibility for such revelations.
However, Kevin Feige did offer a promising update: The Fantastic Four will be shot entirely in IMAX, with production slated to commence “a few months” from now. This decision hints at an epic scale for the reboot, sparking excitement for the potential of seeing Galactus in IMAX glory.
Although Marvel Studios remained mum on other projects like Blade, the coming year promises a wealth of excitement. The absence of Blade from discussions all but confirms its release in 2025, deferring the anticipation for another year.
