Exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting the release of “Daredevil: Born Again”! Fresh photos and footage straight from the set have surfaced online, providing a long-awaited glimpse of Jon Bernthal reprising his role as The Punisher.

In the images, Bernthal embodies the iconic vigilante with a striking presence, seemingly untouched since his last portrayal in the Netflix TV series. Despite previous speculation, Marvel Studios has boldly incorporated Frank Castle’s emblem, capturing it in all its glory on Bernthal’s costume.

The footage, captured during the revival’s filming, showcases Bernthal alongside Charlie Cox’s portrayal of the Man Without Fear, heading into battle together. Curiously, both characters are depicted covering their ears, suggesting an intense confrontation with an unseen adversary.

The Punisher

While many fans anticipated a showdown between Daredevil and The Punisher in “Born Again,” the latest revelations indicate a surprising twist – the vigilantes are depicted as allies in this thrilling sequence.

Jon Bernthal’s Take on Punisher

Reflecting on the enduring appeal of The Punisher, Bernthal remarked last year:

“I think there’s a reason why that character has resonated as deeply and strongly as he has, in the hearts and minds of comic book fans and first responders and people in the military and people all over the globe.”

I think there’s a little bit of Frank Castle in everybody. He exists very strongly inside me and I care about that character deeply. I also know that it’s absolutely essential that if we do it, we do it right and we have real sacred integrity to the source material and to what is at the core of Frank,” the actor continued. “I’m gonna do my absolute best to make sure that, if and when we do it, we do it right.”

Cast

Leading the pack is Charlie Cox, reprising his role as the formidable Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, alongside Vincent D’Onofrio, who brings his mesmerizing presence back as the menacing Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. Elden Henson returns as the loyal friend and ally Foggy Nelson, while Deborah Ann Woll reprises her role as the resilient Karen Page.

But the excitement doesn’t end there – Jon Bernthal makes a triumphant return as the ruthless vigilante Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, joined by Wilson Bethel, who takes on the role of the deadly marksman Bullseye. Sandrine Holt steps into the shoes of the enigmatic Vanessa Fisk, adding another layer of intrigue to the series.

Adding to the anticipation are new additions to the cast, including Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Nikki M. James, Michael Gaston, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, and Hunter Doohan, whose roles remain shrouded in mystery. However, speculation suggests that Doohan may be portraying the formidable villain Muse.

With such a powerhouse cast and a wealth of talent, “Daredevil: Born Again” is poised to deliver an unforgettable viewing experience that will thrill fans old and new alike. Keep an eye out for updates as we eagerly await its premiere on Disney+ in 2025/2026!
