Netflix Unveils Release Date with New Trailer for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.
Expanding the Jurassic World universe, the forthcoming Netflix series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, extends the narrative as a sequel to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Initially announced in November 2023, this animated series was anticipated to hit screens in 2024, though an exact release date remained elusive. However, Netflix unveiled a teaser trailer for the series on Thursday, along with the exciting news that it will premiere on May 24, 2024. Check out the newly released trailer and official poster below for a sneak peek into the thrilling world of Chaos Theory.

In Chaos Theory, the storyline unfolds six years following the events of Camp Cretaceous. Returning to the fray is Darius Bowman, now a bit older, with Paul-Mikel Williams reprising his role as the voice of the character. Sean Giambrone also makes a comeback as the voice of Ben. Darius, now 18 years old, remains steadfast in his commitment to safeguarding dinosaurs.
Showrunner Scott Kreamer teased the sequel’s direction in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, stating, “Darius is on his own and has withdrawn. That was for a very specific reason and I’m looking forward to people getting into that.” He added, “He hasn’t been around people for a while there. He’s dealing with something. Ben is the one who says, ‘Yeah, we can’t stay here. We gotta go.’”
Will Other Camp Cretaceous Stars Return in Chaos Theory?
The trailer for Chaos Theory hints at a gripping narrative as Ben and Darius uncover that someone is “hunting” the members of the Nublar Six. Determined to alert their comrades, the duo embarks on a mission, although showrunner Kreamer remains tight-lipped about potential returning guest stars from Camp Cretaceous. The Nublar Six originally comprised Kenji Kon, Brooklynn, Yaz Fadoula, and Sammy Gutierrez.
Describing the storyline as a “conspiracy thriller,” Kreamer elaborated, “The kids are unraveling this mystery, and just when they think they’ve got it figured out, maybe there’s a bigger story to be told.” With time ticking, Ben and Darius race against the clock to decipher the truth before it’s too late.
Transitioning to older versions of the characters, Kreamer expressed a desire to delve into a more mature narrative, likening it to the tone of the later Harry Potter films.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is set to premiere on Netflix on May 24, 2024.
