Moon Studios, renowned for the beloved Ori series, has revealed exciting news for gamers: their upcoming isometric action RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, is set to debut in Early Access on PC via Steam on April 18. While the game’s full release is planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms at a later date, eager players will get a taste of the action sooner than expected.

Published by Private Division, No Rest for the Wicked made its first appearance in December of last year. Set in the year 841, players will dive into a world where rumors of a deadly plague, known as the Pestilence, resurface following the death of the king. As a member of the ancient Cerim sect dedicated to eradicating the plague, players embark on a perilous journey aboard a merchant ship bound for the remote Isola Sacra. However, their voyage takes a dangerous turn when the rebel group known as the Risen hijacks the vessel, leaving it wrecked on the shores of Isola Sacra. Surviving the wreckage, players find themselves thrust into a gripping tale of political turmoil and desperate survival.
No Rest for the Wicked promises players a visceral combat experience, featuring brutal precision-based battles. With animation-driven fights that demand skill and timing over mindless button-mashing, players can expect to engage foes with a variety of moves and tactics. Additionally, the game offers customization options, allowing players to enchant armaments with runes, craft rare armor, and tailor character builds to suit their individual playstyles.
Visually stunning, No Rest for the Wicked boasts a painterly art style and diverse environments within Isola Sacra, including underground crypts, lush forests, and treacherous mountain passes. Each location is teeming with complex characters, hidden treasures, formidable creatures, and intriguing secrets waiting to be uncovered.
Furthermore, the game introduces a multiplayer mode, set to be added during Early Access, enabling up to three players to embark on quests and confront bosses together. Whether exploring Isola Sacra in the company of friends or venturing forth solo, players can look forward to an immersive and engaging gaming experience in No Rest for the Wicked.
As the release of No Rest for the Wicked draws near, anticipation continues to build for this gripping new adventure from Moon Studios. With its rich storytelling, challenging combat mechanics, and captivating multiplayer features, the game promises to deliver an unforgettable gaming experience.
But what do you think? Are you excited to dive into the world of Isola Sacra and take on the role of a Cerim in the fight against the Pestilence? Do you have any thoughts on the game’s art style or combat system? We’d love to hear from you!
