Set to launch on June 21, 2024, this expansion will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
Among the Empyrean deities, Miquella, the perpetually youthful figure, remained notably absent in the base game’s campaign. FromSoftware has now revealed that Miquella takes center stage in the upcoming DLC.
Excitement builds as preorders for ‘Shadow of the Erdtree’ are now open, offering an exclusive emote as an early-bird bonus.

The U.S. Bandai Namco site has the Collector’s Edition up for $249.99 for the expansion on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Steam. There’s also an option to preorder a Shadow of the Erdtree replica helmet for Messmer the Impaler. This helmet will be available for U.S. and Canadian customers and will ship on June 28. It’s just the statue — with no game content — for $189.99.
Quantities are limited, according to the website.
FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, the epic collaboration between George R. R. Martin and director Hidetaka Miyazaki, has enthralled gamers for two years since its release.
This immersive fantasy world, born from Martin’s renowned A Song of Ice and Fire series, garnered widespread acclaim and earned numerous prestigious awards, including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022 and the Golden Joystick Award 2022.
Now, players prepare to delve deeper into the Land of Shadow with the upcoming expansion, Elden Rings: Shadow of the Erdtree. Equipped with upgraded armor and weapons, they’ll face daunting new challenges and formidable bosses.
Follow in the footsteps of Miquella to uncover the darker secrets of the Elden Ring saga in this thrilling new chapter.
Further, there will be over 10 new boss fights, plus plenty of new weapons, equipment and skills to find. And eight new weapon categories have been added to account for new weapon types.
Miyazaki stated Shadow of the Erdtree will be on a similar footing to the endgame of Elden Ring, though the general approach to challenge has not changed.
“We wanted to provide these challenging encounters and these menacing threats, and in order to do that, we wanted to give the player a lot of freedom of approach,” he said. “We wanted them to feel free in how they choose and when they choose to approach and tackle these hardships.”
As we eagerly await the release of Elden Rings: Shadow of the Erdtree and prepare to embark on another unforgettable journey through the Land of Shadow, we want to hear from you, the players.
