The latest trailer offers glimpses of intriguing new characters and sets the stage for the highly anticipated showdown between Rimuru and Hinata Sakaguchi, a formidable opponent from Rimuru’s past. Additionally, fans were treated to concept art showcasing several new characters along with the unveiling of their Japanese voice actors.
Season 3 of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Debuts on April 5th
Fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime can look forward to season 3 adapting the Saint-Monster Confrontation story arc. This arc focuses on the clash between the Jura-Tempest Federation and the Holy Empire of Lubelius, who have been at odds with Rimuru’s group in the past. Many of the newly introduced characters belong to the Ten Great Saints group from the Empire, and judging by a recently released poster, they will be primarily siding with Hinata Sakaguchi in the battle against Rimuru and his allies.
While there have been a few OVAs and the film Scarlet Bond released in recent years, it’s been a while since the main plot of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime has progressed, with season 2 originally airing in 2021. The new story arc corresponds to volume 7 of the light novels or volume 19 of the manga. Season 3 will be split into two consecutive cores, with an episode count similar to previous seasons, which typically consisted of 24 episodes.
Although the wait has been lengthy, fans can take solace in knowing that the wait for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’s plot progression is almost over.
