Marvel Studios Unveils Scoop on The Fantastic Four’s Villains: Galactus and Silver Surfer Steal the Show, But There’s Enough Space for Doom to Squeeze In?
In a week packed with MCU revelations, Marvel Studios dropped the bombshell we’ve all been waiting for: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm – the newest incarnation of Marvel’s First Family!
Galactus
Now that we’ve got our heroes, all eyes are on the villain front. Galactus is set to shake things up, finally giving Doctor Doom a breather after hogging the spotlight in every previous attempt. But wait, there’s a twist!
According to The Insneider, Javier Bardem is Marvel’s top pick for Galactus, pending his availability post last year’s strike-induced Formula 1 movie chaos. Marvel’s been busy hunting for their Silver Surfer too, debunking any notions of a gender-swapped Anya Taylor-Joy.
Marvel Changing Content Approach
In the latest Disney saga, returning CEO Bob Iger is giving Marvel Studios more breathing room than his counterpart Bob Chapek did. Apparently, Chapek was all about the hustle, but Iger’s like, “Chill, let’s focus on quality over quantity.” This means Blade might be fashionably late to the MCU party in 2026, ’cause who wants four superhero flicks crammed into a single year? Not Marvel, that’s for sure!
Fantastic 4
Now, let’s talk about the OGs of the superhero scene: The Fantastic Four! Created way back in 1961 by the dynamic duo Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this team is the epitome of family goals. You’ve got Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, the brainy stretchy guy; Susan Storm, the Invisible Woman with a knack for force fields; Johnny Storm, the hot-headed Human Torch (pun totally intended); and last but definitely not least, Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, rockin’ those muscles and, well, rocks.
Dr Doom
But hold your horses, Doom devotees! The good ol’ metal-faced nemesis is slated for a cameo at the movie’s tail end. Casting details? Still up in the air – or rather, behind a mask, with the voice dubbed in later?
These guys became Marvel’s first family of superheroes after a cosmic space mission gone wild gave them superpowers. Since then, they’ve been dealing with cosmic chaos, exploring weird dimensions, and of course, butting heads with the ultimate villain, Doctor Doom.

Now, get this: Director Matt Shakman is teaming up with Avatar’s Josh Friedman and WandaVision’s Cam Squires to whip up the latest screenplay for The Fantastic Four. It’s like a superhero party where everyone’s invited! Well, except Doctor Doom, maybe.
Mark your calendars, folks! The Fantastic Four is set to hit theatre’s on July 25, 2025. Time to start planning those superhero-themed premiere parties!
