Long-anticipated rumors surrounding Dogpool being one of the anticipated Variants of the Merc With a Mouth in Deadpool 3 have finally been confirmed. The pint-sized pooch is set to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the upcoming threequel.
Recently, the Merc With a Bark shared a behind-the-scenes photo along with a message to his fellow cast members, announcing the completion of his final scene for the movie. However, it seems not everyone made a favorable impression on the hairless hound, as hinted in his message.
With a triumphant tone, Dogpool expressed, ‘That’s a wrap on my first movie! We worked tirelessly, and it was all worth it. The entire set displayed utmost professionalism, especially Shawn Levy and Hugh Jackman. A superhero-sized bow-wow-WOW to the entire crew for effortlessly rising to every challenge. I wouldn’t change a thing, except for dealing with one individual who proved a bit extra. No worries, I’ve forgiven him and even left a special warm, personal gift in his trailer.’
While it remains unclear if this signifies the overall wrap of production, the completion of filming for the movie’s biggest star suggests that the finish line is approaching rapidly.
Numerous exciting cameos are reportedly in the pipeline for Deadpool 3, with notable appearances expected from X-Men characters such as Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey. The lineup may also include Channing Tatum and Taylor Kitsch portraying different Variants of Gambit. A recent rumor has even hinted at Liev Schreiber reprising his role as Victor Creed from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Adding to the anticipation, other Variants of the Merc With a Mouth are set to grace the screen, including Kidpool, Lady Deadpool, and more.
While trade reports have officially confirmed Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra, the Alias alum remained tight-lipped about the details in a recent interview.
Returning fan-favorite characters include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Rob Delaney as Peter, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. Joining the ensemble are franchise newcomers Emma Corrin from The Crown and Matthew Macfadyen from Succession, whose roles are shrouded in mystery (with rumors suggesting Corrin may play Cassandra Nova).
A rumoured synopsis teases a unique twist for the Merc with a Mouth’s third outing: “After grappling with professional setbacks during a midlife crisis, Wade Wilson officially hangs up his Deadpool suit and transitions into the life of a used car salesman. Mark your calendars as Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit theatres on July 26, 2024. Fans can expect the first trailer to possibly debut during the upcoming Super Bowl next month.
