Radio Silence and Universal have officially unveiled the “Untitled Monster Thriller” this week, and it now goes by the title Abigail.
Boasting the tagline “Children can be such monsters,” the Radio Silence-directed Abigail is slated for a theatrical release on April 19. The recently released trailer teases a gripping narrative reminiscent of Don’t Breathe, where a group of criminals aims to abduct what appears to be an innocent young girl. As expected, the twist reveals the young girl’s true nature – a vampire, specifically a ballerina vampire.
Abigail features an ensemble cast of exceptional talent, and Radio Silence seems to have executed the killer premise in a thrilling and bloody manner, echoing the spirit of their pre-Scream horror hit, Ready or Not. The film promises a gory and entertaining experience.
In this gripping tale, a group of criminals kidnaps the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, aiming to collect a $50 million ransom by watching over her overnight. However, within the confines of an isolated mansion, the captors realize, to their escalating horror, that they are locked inside with anything but a normal little girl.

From the directorial team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for Ready or Not, 2022’s Scream, and Scream VI, comes a bold and bloodthirsty take on the vampire genre. The film, written by Stephen Shields and Guy Busick, stars Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, and Angus Cloud as the kidnappers, with Alisha Weir portraying the titular character, Abigail.
Produced by William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt for Project X Entertainment, as well as Tripp Vinson and Chad Vilella for Radio Silence, Abigail looks set to deliver an exhilarating and horrifying cinematic experience.
Abagail unleashes horror on April 19 exclusively in theatres.
